Join us for the Miles for Meals 5K Run & Walk on Saturday, September 26, 2026, as we come together to support Food for the Journey Project (FJP) and their mission of serving meals and kindness to those experiencing hunger in Dayton neighborhoods. This family-friendly event takes place along a scenic bike path adjacent to Southern Ohio Brewing in Beavercreek. The out-and-back course covers 3.1 miles, winding through picturesque landscapes that offer runners and walkers alike an enjoyable and flat terrain experience. Participants will be greeted by volunteers cheering them on from the sidelines and at a well-stocked water station located midway through the route for hydration breaks. After crossing the finish line, enjoy a light brunch provided by FJP in celebration of your accomplishment. The event schedule includes packet pick-up and same-day registration between 9:30 am and 10:15 am, with the race starting promptly at 10:30 am. Brunch will be served from 11:00 to 11:30 am, followed by awards and closing announcements at 11:30 am. Registration fees range from $30 through August 16 (shirt included), increasing to $40 on race day with no guarantee of a shirt. All proceeds go directly toward supporting FJP’s vital work in providing hundreds of meals each week to individuals and families in need across the Miami Valley. If you’re interested in volunteering for setup, water station duties, finish line cheering, or cleanup, please email cwourms@foodforthejourneyproject.org. We also extend a special thank-you to Southern Ohio Brewing and our generous community supporters who have contributed to making this event possible through their sponsorship and donations of brunch items, water, and race swag. Let’s unite in support of those facing food insecurity and take steps toward building a more nourished, connected community together. See you on the starting line! Join us at Southern Ohio Brewing (818 Factory Rd, Dayton, OH 45434) for an inspiring morning dedicated to making a difference.
