Milestones in Motion, formerly known as Laps for Little Ones, is an inspiring 5K/Fun Run fundraiser that celebrates the achievements of children with special needs at Harbor Day School. This tuition-free Christian Development Center has been providing essential support to young learners since its inception in 2006 and now serves a community of over 45 students. The event takes place on October 24, 2026, at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison, Mississippi (1531 Highland Colony Parkway, MS 39110), where participants can join runners and walkers to raise funds for Harbor Day School. The proceeds will go towards purchasing vital tools that aid these children's communication skills, mobility, and learning processes. Packet pick-up is available on October 23rd from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Broadmoor Baptist Church, or race day morning from 6:30 am until 7:10 am. The 5K run kicks off promptly at 7:30 am followed by the walk starting shortly after at 7:35 am. After the races conclude, participants can join in on a special Fun Run and enjoy a Student Victory Lap where current students and alumni of Harbor Day School will proudly cross the finish line. This event is not just about running; it's an opportunity to celebrate the progress and triumphs of these remarkable young individuals.
