About the Event

Experience the inaugural Millstream Gravel Cup, set to take place across Labor Day weekend from September 6th to 7th, 2026. This unique event combines two premier races: the Iowa Gravel Time Trial Championship and the Iowa Gravel Road Race Championship.
On Sunday, September 6th, participants will tackle a demanding time trial course that promises rolling terrain with punchy climbs and breathtaking views just northeast of Amana. The race starts at dawn to ensure optimal conditions for both speed and endurance. This event not only challenges your skills but also offers the chance to earn official state championship medals.
The following day, Monday, September 7th, competitors will face another test on the Iowa Gravel Road Race Championship course. With its varied terrain and scenic beauty, this race is designed to push even the most seasoned gravel enthusiasts to their limits. Both races contribute towards determining your position in the Omnium Competition—a thrilling opportunity for top performers across all categories.
To qualify for the coveted Millstream Gravel Cup and share in over $6,000 in prize money (with equal payouts for men and women), you must compete in both events while registering in the same category. The Omnium standings will be based on combined finishing positions from both races. Register early to secure your spot.
For those not seeking competition, there’s still plenty of opportunity to enjoy the scenic routes at a more relaxed pace through the Fondo option. This non-competitive event allows you to savor the views and camaraderie without pressure.

About Amana

The Amana Colonies are seven villages on 26,000 acres (110 km2) located in Iowa County in east-central Iowa, United States: Amana, East Amana, High Amana, Middle Amana, South Amana, West Amana, and Homestead. The villages were built and settled by German Radical Pietists, who were persecuted in their homeland by the German state government and the Lutheran Church. Calling themselves the True Inspiration Congregations, they first settled in New York near Buffalo in what is now the town of West Seneca. However, seeking more isolated surroundings, they moved to Iowa in 1856. They lived a communal life until 1932.
