Step into history and celebrate the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. on his dedicated day through our annual MLK Day Run, an inspiring event that honors Dr. King’s legacy of justice, equality, and peace. This run is more than a race; it's a vibrant gathering where participants come together to reflect on Dr. King’s powerful message while running or walking at their own pace. The MLK Day Run offers a unique blend of community engagement and personal achievement. With limited spots available per wave, this event ensures an intimate setting that encourages camaraderie among runners and walkers alike, regardless of age (under 18s must be accompanied by a guardian). The race takes place in a warm and supportive environment where coordinators are on hand to assist participants every step of the way. Participants have the flexibility to track their time using various apps such as Strava or Nike Run if they choose. Alternatively, our dedicated staff can help manage timing for those who prefer not to use technology. The event is designed without any cumbersome equipment requirements, focusing solely on the joy and purpose behind running together. Upon registration, runners receive a comprehensive swag bag that includes an exclusive running shirt shipped directly to their address (US only), a finisher’s towel or other giveaway items, and a prestigious finisher's medal. Additionally, participants gain access to digital training resources and local run clubs, enhancing the overall fitness experience beyond just the race day. Race updates are sent out via email one week before the event with all necessary details including course maps. For those who sign up late (within two weeks of the race), while we can accommodate your registration, please note that your shirt will likely arrive after you've completed the run. You're encouraged to wear any comfortable attire on race day. The MLK Day Run also offers a virtual option for those unable to join in person but still wish to contribute to the cause and receive their medal by submitting results post-run. Waves are filled on a first-come, first-served basis with times scheduled at 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, and 8:30 AM. Join us as we run not just for ourselves but in solidarity with Dr. King’s vision of a more equitable world. Your participation supports our charity initiatives aimed at making positive changes within communities across the nation. Every mile logged after the race will also result in a $1 donation to one of our partnered charities, reinforcing the impact you can make through your dedication. For those interested in volunteering or becoming sponsors, we welcome all contributions that help us continue spreading Dr. King’s message far and wide. Together, let's keep running towards a brighter future for everyone involved. Join the MLK Day Run today and be part of something truly meaningful!
