About the Event

Morecambe Marathon and Half Marathon
Set against the backdrop of the charming coastal town of Morecambe, the Morecambe Marathon and Half Marathon offers runners an unforgettable experience. This annual race takes place on September 19, 2027, providing participants with a scenic route that showcases some of Lancashire's most picturesque landscapes.
The event features two distances: the full marathon (42.2 kilometers) and half marathon (21.1 kilometers). Both routes wind through Morecambe’s vibrant streets, offering runners stunning views along the way. The race begins at 11 am from the Bare Methodist Church Hall in LA4 6EF.
Runners will enjoy a well-organized course with clear markings and plenty of support stations throughout. Whether you are an experienced marathoner or looking to tackle your first half marathon, this event provides a challenging yet rewarding experience. The flat terrain makes it ideal for achieving personal bests and qualifying times for other prestigious marathons like the London Marathon.
Participants can look forward to a lively atmosphere with enthusiastic crowds cheering them on every step of the way. After crossing the finish line, runners will receive commemorative medals and have the opportunity to relax in the post-race area where refreshments are available.
Join us this September for an inspiring day filled with camaraderie and breathtaking scenery at the Morecambe Marathon and Half Marathon.
