MTB Classic - Cross Country Mountain Bike Racing

The MTB Classic, part of the Spring MTB Series, invites mountain bikers to explore the scenic trails at Granite Beach within Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. This second race in the series offers a challenging six-mile lap course with well-marked and safe routes through diverse terrain.
Participants will enjoy custom TBF Racing socks as part of their registration package, along with opportunities for division awards and a hot meal post-race. Packet pick-up is available on race morning starting at 7 am.
The event features multiple categories to cater to various skill levels and age groups:
- Junior (14-under) / Beginner: One lap
- Novice/Clydesdale (over 220 lbs): One lap
- Junior Elite (14-under), E-Bike, Sport/Sport HS/Sport Single-Speed: Two laps
- Expert/HS Expert/Pro: Three laps
Division awards are given to top finishers in each category. Points earned across the six-race series determine Series Champions based on accumulated points and race finishes.
Start times vary by division:
- 8 am: Pro, Experts, HS Experts, SS Experts
- 9 am: Novice, HS Novices, Clydesdale
- 10 am: Junior Elite, E-Bike, Sport/Sport HS/Sport Single-Speed
- 11 am: Juniors
Volunteers can earn a $50 TBF Racing voucher for each four-hour shift. Refunds are not offered but transfers to other events within one year incur a $25 fee.
