Embark on an exhilarating journey with Total Body Fitness (TBF) for their Mountain Bike Clinic, designed to cater to riders of all skill levels. This comprehensive clinic offers two distinct tiers: Level 1 and Level 2, each packed with professional coaching, hands-on drills, and practical skills sessions. Level 1 Clinic: Dive into the essentials of off-road mountain biking under expert guidance. Participants will learn crucial aspects such as equipment setup, bike maintenance, trail etiquette, gear selection, and shifting techniques. The clinic covers fundamental riding skills like balance, body movement, pedal technique, starting and stopping methods, including emergency stops. Riders also get to practice cornering on various surfaces, mastering line selection, speed control, vision, and exit power. A short group ride follows, allowing you to apply your newly acquired skills in a real-world setting. Level 2 Clinic: Building upon the basics from Level 1, this advanced clinic delves deeper into trail dynamics with sessions focused on reading terrain flow, selecting optimal lines for speed control, and mastering passing techniques involving verbal communication and quick accelerations. Riders will also tackle challenging climbs and descents, learning effective pedal technique, cadence management, and body positioning to maximize performance. The day includes instruction in clearing obstacles, drop-offs, sand riding, and jumping techniques, all on a variety of trails featuring granite boulders, jumps, rock gardens, and more. Throughout the clinic, participants will enjoy Clif Bar snacks and FLUID fuel to keep energy levels high during breaks between sessions. Each clinic concludes with an afternoon coached ride at Granite Beach, where you can practice your new skills in a supportive group setting. The day begins promptly at 9:00 am with welcome remarks from TBF coaches followed by discussions on equipment, apparel, safety, and maintenance tips. Warm-up laps lead into skill-specific drills interspersed with snack breaks for recharging and asking questions.
