MTC Severn Way 2025

Day 4 of the Severn Challenge offers runners an opportunity to traverse through some of Worcestershire’s picturesque landscapes. The day begins with a gentle run through Grimley and Worcester, where historic charm meets modern vibrancy. As you continue towards Upton-on-Severn, the scenery shifts slightly as rolling hills give way to more open fields.
The route then leads into Tewkesbury, known for its medieval abbey and charming streets lined with shops and cafes, providing a welcome respite from the early morning miles. After crossing over to Gloucestershire, you’ll follow the winding path of the River Severn through Epney and Priding, where the river’s meandering course offers scenic views.
As the day progresses, runners will pass through Frampton-on-Severn before concluding their journey with a 3-mile stretch that brings them directly to Travelodge Stonehouse. This route not only showcases diverse landscapes but also highlights the region's rich history and natural beauty along the way.
The event is designed for endurance athletes who appreciate scenic routes, offering both flat stretches ideal for maintaining pace as well as gentle terrain changes that keep runners engaged throughout their journey.
