Muddy Boots 10K

Muddy Boots is an annual highlight on Ripon's running calendar, boasting over 300 participants each year. The chip-timed race begins and concludes at St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School, covering approximately 10 kilometres of varied terrain through undulating farmland and picturesque countryside. Runners will encounter a mix of road surfaces, footpaths, and trails as they navigate the challenging yet scenic route.
Before and after the event, both runners and their supporters can enjoy refreshments at Race HQ, including homemade cakes that are always a hit with attendees. The day also features the Muddy Boots Fun Run, an approximate 1-kilometre course for all ages across school fields, complete with medals for finishers. Children under five must be accompanied by an adult and entry is £5 online or £6 on race morning before 9:30 AM.
Organized by the St Wilfrid's Association (SWA/PTA), a registered charity, proceeds from the event support children at the school with extra-curricular activities and improvements to facilities.
