Musselburgh Festival 10k 2026

The Musselburgh Festival 10K Race is set to return on Saturday, July 18th, 2026. Organized by the dedicated team at Musselburgh & District Athletic Club, this annual event offers a welcoming atmosphere for runners of all levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes.
Participants in the main race will gather at Loretto School Playing Fields and begin their journey along flat paths and tracks that wind through scenic routes around New Street and the River Esk. The start time is set for 10:30 AM sharp, with chip timing ensuring accurate results throughout the course of this UK Athletics-sanctioned event.
For those looking to extend the day's festivities, a fun-filled 1K children’s race will follow at approximately noon. This untimed run requires no pre-registration and allows kids to simply show up on race morning for an afternoon of joyous activity in the heart of Musselburgh.
Race organizers encourage all entrants over the age of sixteen to sign up by Sunday, June 14th, if they wish to secure a commemorative t-shirt. This limited-time offer comes with a £8 fee and is only available during early registration periods online or on race day when picking up timing chips at Loretto School’s pavilion from 9:00 AM onwards.
