Teams are encouraged to form fundraising groups to support abandoned and abused dogs in the Mid South region. Awards will be given out to top male and female finishers as well as age group winners ranging from 1-80+. This ensures that everyone has a chance to shine, regardless of their speed or age.
Safety is paramount at Mutt Strut 5K Memphis; all participating dogs must remain on short leashes throughout the event. Retractable leashes are not permitted for safety reasons, and female dogs in heat along with puppies under 12 weeks old cannot participate due to health concerns. Dog owners also need to provide proof of rabies vaccination upon request.
Parking is plentiful around Overton Park, near Rainbow Lake Pavilion, allowing easy access to the start line. Packet pickup will be available at various locations leading up to race day or on-site before the event begins.
