Whether you choose to tackle this challenge outdoors or virtually from anywhere around the globe, it offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the spirit of endurance and exploration that defines the XTRI. ### Race Options - Shadow Xtreme: 3.8km Swim | 182km Bike | 42.2km Run - Shadow .8: 3km Swim | 146km Bike | 34km Run - Shadow .6: 2.3km Swim | 109km Bike | 25km Run - Shadow Lite: 1.5km Swim | 73km Bike | 17km Run Participants must complete the full distance they select, ensuring no partial distances are accepted for credit. ### Elevation Goals While not mandatory, reaching these elevation goals can add an extra layer of challenge and authenticity to your experience: - Shadow Xtreme: 3200m Cycle Ascent | 1700m Run Ascent - Shadow .8: 2560m Cycle Ascent | 1360m Run Ascent - Shadow .6: 1920m Cycle Ascent | 1020m Run Ascent - Shadow Lite: 1280m Cycle Ascent | 680m Run Ascent ### Event Dates Start anytime from midnight on September 12th (local time) and finish by the same day's local midnight. Results must be submitted to RaceID no later than midnight CEST on September 14th. ### Rewards and Recognition - X-Points: Earn up to 25 X-Points for completing the Shadow Xtreme, with decreasing points for shorter distances. - Prize Draw: Two complimentary slots for the Blacklake XTRI in 2027 will be awarded randomly among all finishers. ### Race Format and Rules The race can be completed over one day or split across multiple days within a 24-hour window. Participants are encouraged to use GPS tracking devices like Strava, Garmin, or similar for distance verification.
