MyXTRI ICON Shadow Edition: Embrace Your Personal Challenge Race #1 of the 2026 MyXTRI Shadow World Tour invites you to redefine endurance. While the real-world ICON XTRI remains an unattainable dream for some, this digital edition lets you take on a monumental challenge in your own terms and at any location. The ICON Shadow Edition offers four tiers that cater to various fitness levels: - Shadow Xtreme: A grueling 3.8km swim followed by a daunting 195km bike ride culminating with a marathon run of 42.2km. - Shadow .8: At half the distance, this option includes a 3km swim, an 80% shorter cycling route at 156km and a reduced yet challenging 34km run. - Shadow .6: This scaled-back version features a 2.3km swim, 117km on two wheels, and a manageable but still rigorous 25km run. - Shadow Lite: Ideal for beginners or those looking to dip their toes into the challenge, this option comprises a modest 1.5km swim, a half-day cycling stint of 78km, and an approachable 17km run. Elevation goals are recommended but not mandatory: - Shadow Xtreme: A staggering climb totaling 5000m on your bike legs with 3000m in the running phase. - Shadow .8 & .6 Lite: These tiers gradually reduce elevation climbs, offering a more accessible experience while still pushing physical limits. The event kicks off at midnight (local time) on September 4th and concludes by midnight of the same day. Participants have until September 6th to submit their results via RaceID. Completing your chosen distance earns you points towards your global ranking: - Shadow Xtreme: Up to a generous 25 X-Points. - Shadow .8 & Shadow .6: Yielding 20 and 15 X-Points respectively. - Shadow Lite: Offers an encouraging 5 X-Points. The race format allows for flexibility, accommodating both outdoor and indoor conditions. Participants can swim in open water or a pool, cycle on roads or trails (or even indoors), and run outdoors while adhering to the specified distances and elevation goals. In addition to personal achievements, there are extra challenges like designing your course creatively and participating in an Italian-inspired photo contest for added fun and recognition. Finishers have the opportunity to purchase official finisher shirts from the MyXTRI Shop and design their own race bibs. A prize draw will also take place on September 9th, offering complimentary slots for the upcoming ICON XTRI event as well as other exciting rewards.
