Namaqua Quest Trail Running Stage Race

The Namaqua Quest Trail Run and Mountain Bike events offer an unforgettable adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of Namakwa, Northern Cape. This three-day extravaganza takes place during early September when the region is at its most enchanting, showcasing a vibrant display of wildflowers across rolling hills and rugged mountains.
Participants will traverse diverse terrains over the course of three days, with each day presenting unique challenges and stunning vistas. On Day 1, runners and cyclists explore the Copper Mountains near Okiep, where history meets nature along the copper trail, adorned with colorful blooms. The second day ventures into Goegap Nature Reserve, offering close encounters with wildlife such as Gemsbok, Springbok, Eland, Ostriches, and smaller antelopes against a backdrop of rugged terrain.
The final leg takes competitors through a private farm near Springbok, where granite koppies punctuate the landscape, creating an otherworldly setting. Amidst these rocky outcrops, patches of vibrant flowers create a kaleidoscope effect as if nature’s palette had been scattered across the earth.
Each evening is spent in the heart of Okiep at the Country Hotel, which serves not only as race headquarters but also as a lively hub for post-event festivities and camaraderie.
