Casper Mountain is set to host the tenth edition of WYRun's Night Crawler Endurance Challenge on August 14-15, 2026. This unique overnight race offers participants an unforgettable experience amidst the stunning trails atop Casper Mountain. The event kicks off at 6:30 PM on Friday and continues through the night until Saturday morning at 6:30 AM. Runners can choose between a solo 4-hour or 12-hour challenge, or join forces with friends for a relay-style 12-hour team competition. The race takes place in the Nordic stadium near the Casper Mountain Trails Center (9301 Casper Mountain Rd.), where participants will have access to parking and setup areas. The course winds through lush forested trails at an elevation of 8,100 feet, offering breathtaking views under the moonlight. Runners can take breaks between laps in the Start/Finish/Lap area, set up tents or hammocks for comfort, and enjoy the camaraderie with fellow trail runners throughout the night. Registration closes on Wednesday, August 12th at midnight, but late registration is available from Thursday afternoon until race day if you're willing to pay an additional $5. No onsite registrations will be accepted after that time. The first fifty registrants receive a guaranteed race souvenir as part of their entry package. Upon completion of the event, all participants are awarded finisher medals regardless of how many laps they complete or hours spent running. Top solo and relay team performers in both 4-hour and 12-hour categories will also be recognized with special awards during an immediate post-race ceremony at the start/finish area.
