When the sun goes down, the trail comes alive.

Welcome to the Night Serpent 5K, a nighttime trail race unlike anything else on your race calendar. Held on private property in Eads, TN, runners will take on a dark, wooded trail filled with twists, turns, shadows—and a few things waiting for you along the way.

This isn’t just a 5K in the dark. It’s a full haunted trail-running experience.

6:00 PM — Haunted Trails
Our earlier race offers the excitement of the Night Serpent with a less intense, haunted experience. Runners 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Our haunted creatures will be positioned throughout the course, but they'll remain still as runners pass.

8:00 PM — The Trails Come Alive
When darkness takes over, so do the trails.

The 8:00 PM race is reserved for ages 16+ and delivers the full Night Serpent experience. Our haunted creatures won't just be hiding in the woods anymore—they'll come alive.

Expect darkness. Expect surprises. Expect your heart rate to climb for reasons that have nothing to do with your pace.

No haunted creature will intentionally touch a runner, but we can't promise they won't make you run a little faster.

Bring a headlamp, bring your courage, and come experience 3.1 miles after dark.

Eads is an unincorporated community in Shelby County, Tennessee, United States, named after Civil War engineer James Buchanan Eads. Some parts of Eads have been annexed by the city of Memphis. Some of its area is currently still unincorporated. Eads is located north of Collierville, west of Somerville, and east of Memphis and Bartlett. The Eads zip code (38028) stretches into both Shelby County and Fayette County, including parts of Hickory Withe and Fisherville.
