NORTH LAKES HALF MARATHON & 10KM

Immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of Cumbria's Lorton Valley with Wild Deer Events and their partners, Timing Up North. The North Lakes Half Marathon & 10km race offers runners an unforgettable experience along scenic country lanes near Cockermouth Town Centre.
The event features two routes: a half marathon covering 21.1 kilometers and a 10-kilometer course, both winding through the picturesque Lorton Valley with its breathtaking views of the Lake District's rolling hills and serene landscapes. Participants can expect to encounter quiet roads that are ideal for setting personal bests.
Race day starts early at Cockermouth Town Centre’s Market Place, where runners gather before heading off on their respective courses. The half marathon begins promptly at 9:00 AM, followed by the 10km race starting ten minutes later at 9:10 AM. Both routes are meticulously designed to highlight the valley's natural beauty while providing a challenging yet rewarding run.
Live chip-timing ensures accurate results for all participants, and upon crossing the finish line, runners will be greeted with event medals, exclusive merchandise from Wild Deer Events, as well as snacks and refreshments. For those looking to commemorate their participation in style, an optional T-shirt can be added during registration at a cost of £14.
