Bassingham Bash 5 Mile Road Race

The Bassingham Bash, now in its 22nd year, is a premier road racing event that draws runners of all levels to the picturesque village of Bassingham. This fast and flat 5-mile race takes place on quiet rural roads, offering exceptional conditions for personal best attempts over this classic distance.
Held as part of the annual Bassingham Village Show, which features numerous displays, attractions, food stalls, and drink outlets, the event is a day out for both runners and their families. Free entry ensures that all are welcome to join in the festivities.
Competitors can look forward to stiff competition across various age groups, with separate prize categories for under-23 athletes as well as traditional senior and masters divisions. The race boasts substantial cash prizes totaling over £750 for top finishers in each category, plus a bonus if course records are broken by Jordan Skelly’s men's mark of 23:29.7 or Sophie Wallis’ women's record of 25:56.6.
