The Greatest Run in Arizona returns on September 26th, 2026, offering runners and walkers an unforgettable day at OHSO Brewery. This annual celebration of running combines scenic routes along the Arizona Canal with post-race festivities that promise to be a highlight for all participants.
Starting early Saturday morning, registration opens at 5:45 AM, allowing ample time to get settled before the first race begins at 6:00 AM. The event features three distance options—5k, 10k, and half marathon—all designed as fun runs that cater to a wide range of abilities.
The routes for each distance wind through picturesque paths along the Arizona Canal, offering breathtaking views of Phoenix's iconic skyline and lush greenery. For those tackling longer distances, the Half Marathon extends beyond the canal into scenic areas around Silverado Golf Club before turning back towards OHSO Brewery. Aid stations are strategically placed to ensure runners have access to water and Skratch Hydration throughout their journey.
Once the races conclude, participants can enjoy a hearty brunch at OHSO starting from 7:30 AM. The menu includes breakfast burritos with gluten-free options available upon request. Complimentary drink tickets allow you to sample OHSO's craft brews while mingling with fellow runners and enjoying live music.
Additional highlights include an Altra shoe demo, a Shokz headphone demonstration, free stretching sessions led by Spooner Physical Therapy, and the chance to win fantastic prizes through raffle entries. To make your day even more enjoyable, carpooling or ridesharing is highly recommended due to limited parking options near OHSO Brewery. Participants are advised not to park in the funeral home/office lot west of OHSO.
