Devon's Running Events invites you to experience the joy of running or walking on a picturesque farm over the weekend of July 23rd-25th, 2027. The centerpiece is the Cider 5K-ish Challenge on Sunday, July 23rd, designed for runners and walkers at all levels of ability. This event offers participants a relaxed trail atmosphere where you can enjoy running or walking through scenic fields, grassy meadows dotted with wildflowers, crops, and dusty tracks. The one-lap course is set within the private grounds of a local farm, which has kindly granted permission for this unique experience. Participants will have 90 minutes to complete their route, ensuring that no runner feels left behind as support tails are always available to keep everyone moving forward at their own pace. Upon finishing your run or walk, you'll be rewarded with some special goodies. In addition to the Cider 5K-ish Challenge, there's a variety of other events throughout the weekend: - A Friday evening kick-off with a 5K-ish race starting at 7:00 PM. - An adventurous overnight challenge that begins on Friday night and continues into Saturday morning from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. - Another endurance event, the 12-hour Night Challenge, starts right after the initial kickoff at 8:00 PM on Friday evening. On Saturday, runners can participate in a full day of challenges with two events starting early: - A demanding but rewarding 12-hour challenge from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
The Sunday lineup offers three distinct options for varying distances and pacing preferences: - The Bell & Bumble Tad Longer Plod, an easygoing stroll that starts at 9:00 AM. - A shorter but equally enjoyable walk called the Bell & Bumble Short Plod beginning just fifteen minutes later at 9:15 AM. - Finally, a more ambitious option for those looking to cover some distance is the Apple Plod 10K-ish event which starts promptly at 10:30 AM. With limited spots available and an array of activities catering to different interests and abilities, this weekend promises to be a memorable one. Don't miss out on the chance to explore Devon's countryside while engaging in some friendly competition or leisurely strolls amidst nature’s beauty. Join us for what is sure to be an unforgettable experience in the heart of rural England.
