Welcome to the 2026 Ontario Summit Trail Races, an exhilarating trail running experience set amidst the scenic beauty of Gannett Hill within Ontario County Park. Organized by FarFetched Enterprises, this unique race promises runners a memorable journey through diverse and challenging terrain. The event will take place on Saturday, September 12th, with significant modifications to the course designed to enhance the runner's experience while maintaining the essence that made previous editions popular. The focus is now on creating two distinct courses: a short and a long one, rather than adhering strictly to traditional distance categories like half marathons. Race HQ is located at Wilson Lodge, where runners can pick up their packets from 7:00 AM onwards. Early start for the long course begins at 8:00 AM, followed by regular starts throughout the morning until all participants are on the trails. The short course kicks off at 10:00 AM. Parking is managed through a one-way loop system near Wilson Lodge and several pavilions reserved specifically for race day parking. Volunteers will be directing traffic to ensure smooth entry and exit from the park, so please follow their guidance closely. For those looking to extend their stay in this picturesque setting, camping options are available at designated spots by the lodges or through reservations made directly with Ontario County Parks. A casual Friday night social event offers light snacks and access to outdoor grills for cooking your own meals. Local dining options include Brew and Brats, Roots Cafe, Naples Wood Fired Pizza, and Birdhouse Brewing. On Saturday morning, a hearty breakfast awaits runners at Wilson Lodge before the race begins. Post-race festivities feature hand-made burritos from R's Market, refreshing beverages courtesy of Peacemaker Brewing, along with fruit and snacks to refuel your energy levels post-run. In Motion Physical Therapy FLX will be on-site providing support for athletes. Registration incentives include a long-sleeve shirt designed in soft cotton/poly blend perfect for fall weather when you sign up before August 22nd. A commemorative pint glass is also part of the registration package, celebrating your participation with style and flair. Awards are given to Overall Female Long Course, Overall Male Long Course, Overall Female Short Course, Overall Male Short Course winners, along with a random selection of participants who will receive gift cards or race entries as prizes. Volunteers play an integral role in making this event possible, receiving breakfast, post-race meals, and race shirts for their efforts. The Ontario Summit Trail Races prides itself on its flexible policies: no price increases until the day before the event; participant transfers, distance switching, deferrals, and refunds are all available without fees up to specified deadlines. The Race Director reserves the right to disqualify participants who engage in unsporting behavior such as littering or course cutting. Join us for a weekend of adventure, camaraderie, and breathtaking trails at Ontario Summit Trail Races 2026!
