Osprey Ambler

Osprey Ambler invites runners of all levels to explore the scenic trails of Osprey Park in Sultan, Washington. Set against the backdrop of the stunning Skykomish River Valley, this unique event offers participants two options: complete as many laps as possible within a 3-hour timeframe or push yourself further with an extended 6-hour challenge.
The course winds through smooth dirt single-track that meanders along the park's perimeter, offering runners both woodland tranquility and riverbank views. The loop measures approximately 1.06 miles, featuring minimal elevation changes to ensure a comfortable yet engaging run. As you traverse the trails, keep an eye out for salmon making their way upstream to spawn—a natural spectacle not to be missed.
Starting at the shelter near the play fields, runners will venture into lush forests and along the Sultan River's edge before returning via winding woodland paths back to the aid station and finish area. The Sky Valley Trail Runners Association ensures that this event is both accessible and enjoyable for all participants while maintaining safety standards.
Proceeds from Osprey Ambler directly support local trail maintenance initiatives by the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Wander Bigger Running, LLC, as well as funding critical services provided by Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue.
