Tucked deep along Route 95 in Hongtan Township, Dagu Ridge is an unspoiled corner of southern Anhui nicknamed the "little Jiuzhaigou" -- waterfalls doubling as drumbeats, bamboo forest as backdrop, streams as trail, a genuine escape from crowds with old villages and centuries-old trees along the way.
