Starting 12:00 PM on Sunday, October 11 at the south gate of Shandong Vocational College of Foreign Affairs University's Weihai campus, Rushan, Weihai, Shandong, this trail race offers "Oyster Spirit Soaring" 24km, "Oyster Luck Comes Naturally" 12km, and "Oyster Business Happening" 5km. Registration opens July 10 at 12:12 through September 20, first-come first-served.
The 24km (23.22km actual, 1,064m gain, ITRA 1 point) has a 6-hour cutoff; the 12km (12.04km, 340m gain) has a 3-hour cutoff; the 5km (5km, 12m gain) has a 1-hour cutoff.
Rushan's first-ever trail race skips the hundred-kilometer grind and the crowded starting corral in favor of something smaller and more personal -- a run through mountain and coastal air, capped with a bowl of hot soup at the finish.
