About the Event

The Peach Classic, one of Canada’s longest-running triathlons since 1983, invites participants to celebrate over three decades of endurance and athleticism. This year's race offers a variety of distances tailored for all skill levels: Standard, Sprint, Try A Tri, Aqua-Bike, as well as both Standard and Sprint Relay options.
The event is meticulously organized by the Penticton Triathlon Club, a non-profit club dedicated to promoting triathlons within the community. Participants will start their journey at 7:00 AM with the sprint distance for male competitors, followed shortly after by female sprinters at 7:10 AM. The standard distances begin on track for men and mixed teams at 7:20 AM, while women tackle these longer courses just a minute later.
For those new to triathlons or seeking an exciting challenge, the Try A Tri event kicks off at 8:00 AM with its unique format that combines running, cycling, and swimming. The sprint relay will see mixed teams take on this demanding but rewarding course starting at 7:20 AM, followed by their standard distance counterparts.
Awards ceremonies are scheduled for 11:30 AM, where achievements from the day’s races will be recognized with pride.

Penticton is a beautiful spot in the south Okanagan nestled between two lakes: The 155 km-long (95 mi) Okanagan Lake to the north, and the smaller Skaha Lake to the south. Tourism in Penticton is largely seasonal. In the summer, tourists double Penticton's population to 60,000. In the winter things used to be very quiet, but now that World Cup Freestyle Skiing stops at local Apex Mountain every winter, the winter scene is picking up.
