Phoenix - Hampshire - Autumn Feisty Phoenix

Autumn Feisty Phoenix, hosted by Phoenix Running Hampshire, invites runners of all abilities to experience the picturesque Itchen Way trail near Winchester. This professionally measured course offers a smooth and scenic route that winds along the serene riverbank, crossing over the historic Hockley Viaduct for breathtaking views.
Participants can choose from various distances ranging from 2.62 miles out and back to an ultra-distance challenge within a flexible seven-hour time frame. The event encourages runners to gauge their performance on race day rather than committing to a specific distance in advance, making it ideal for both casual joggers and serious competitors looking to push themselves.
The course is known for its welcoming atmosphere, with plenty of support along the way including an aid station stocked with sweet treats and savory snacks. A highlight is the generous supply of potatoes that have become a signature feature at Phoenix events. Vegan options are also plentiful, ensuring everyone stays fueled throughout their run.
Race day offers unparalleled flexibility: runners can start anytime between 08:00 and 13:00, allowing for a stress-free experience whether you arrive early or prefer to warm up before beginning your journey. The course closes at 15:00, giving participants ample time to complete their chosen distance.
The event is based near Garnier Road Car Park with parking available at St Catherine’s Park & Ride just a short walk away from the start line. For those driving, enter SO23 9NP into your GPS for East Winchester Park & Ride (St Catherine's). On-site parking costs £3.50 for all-day access or £1.80 for up to three hours on Saturdays; Sundays are free.
