About the Event

Experience the excitement of the PXV XC TT race this August 2nd! Set on Yeager's Tree Farm, this race offers something for every skill level and age group. The course is designed to challenge both seasoned racers and newcomers alike, winding through rolling hills and diverse terrain.
The race features five distinct categories:
1. Category 1 (three laps) covers approximately 4.5 miles of varied trails, including grass single track, clay flow trail, double track, a bit of gravel road, and tight twisty-turny tree-tangle sections.
2. Category 2 (two laps), also around 4.5 miles, offers a slightly shorter route with similar terrain challenges.
3. Category 3 (one lap) is perfect for beginners, covering the same challenging yet manageable course as Categories 1 and 2 but on a smaller scale.
For those looking to test their skills in a less technical setting, there’s Category 4 – a shortened one-lap race of about 3.5 miles with fewer climbs and more fun features like rock gardens and log-overs.
Category 5 is introduced this year for the little racers under age 8. This one-mile lap is designed to be non-competitive but full of adventure, featuring pavement start, gravel, grass, tree twisty sections, hills, and dirt single track.
Race day registration opens at 7:30 a.m., with specific check-in times before each race:
- Category 1 starts at 9:00 a.m.
- Category 2 races off at 11:30 a.m.
- Category 3 hits the trails at 1:00 p.m.
- Junior Novice/Category 4 begins their journey at 1:30 p.m.
- The FUNd Lap, open to all ages and designed for fun rather than competition, starts at 1:40 p.m.
Kids under age 8 can also join in the fun with mini races starting early at 9:30 a.m., featuring two laps for five-year-olds and four-year-olds, followed by one lap each for three- and two-year-olds. Helmets are required for safety, and parental/guardian supervision is essential.
Pre-rides will be available leading up to the race on select nights during the week before August 2nd. These pre-rides offer a chance to familiarize yourself with the course in advance of the big day.
The event is rain or shine, but refunds are only available for those who purchase optional insurance when registering. Adverse weather conditions may cause postponements; however, no refund will be provided if the race must proceed under such circumstances.
Proceeds from this race support important programs including The Phoenixville Bike Park Annual Improvements Campaign and other local initiatives aimed at promoting youth cycling and trail development.
