PieAthlon 2026

The PieAthlon is an unconventional race that marries the thrill of trail running with the joy of pie tasting. This unique event invites runners to traverse a scenic 6km course peppered with three delightful pie stations, offering participants a taste of local culinary delights along their journey.
Starting and finishing at The Dusty Miller Pub in Longwood, the route winds through varied off-road terrains, showcasing the picturesque landscapes around the area. Runners will encounter challenges such as the notorious ‘bog of doom’, adding an element of adventure to the race while providing stunning views throughout.
This year marks a special milestone for the PieAthlon as it transitions into its 25th edition under new management by the Salendine Nook Scout Group, in partnership with The Dusty Miller Pub. Funds raised from this event will be used not only to enhance future races but also to support scouting activities and provide enriching experiences for local youth.
Participants are encouraged to embrace their playful side through fancy dress, with a prize awarded to the most creative costume on display at the finish line. All runners will receive medals upon completion of the race, while top performers in various categories—1st place overall, 2nd place overall, 3rd place overall, first lady, first junior, and best fancy dress—will be recognized with additional prizes.
