Pinen og Plagen Cannonball Run Nr. 2

About the Event

Mark your calendars for an exciting addition to the race calendar – the Cannonball Run on Mors Island. This series will feature approximately four to five races annually, each set around the picturesque Limfjord lake, offering runners unique routes and stunning natural beauty.
The upcoming event takes place in Vils, the third-largest town on the island with a population of just 452 residents. The race starts and finishes at Skovhytten located at Smedebjergevej 24, 7980 Vils, providing participants with a charming rural setting.
The route is a scenic 7.1 kilometers that winds through the lush landscapes surrounding Mors Island. Runners can choose from several distance options: one to two laps for those looking for a shorter run or walk (starting at 12:00 PM), three laps for a half marathon effort (beginning at 11:00 AM), and six laps for full marathon runners (kickoff at 9:00 AM).
Entry fees are set as follows: members of Pinen & Plagen pay just DKK 25, while non-members will be charged DKK 50. Participants should bring their own energy supplies for the race; water stations will be available at both start and finish lines.
Upon completion, all runners receive a beautiful medal to commemorate their achievement. Post-race refreshments including coffee and cake await in Skovhytten where everyone is invited to relax and socialize after the event.
Parking is conveniently located near Sydmors School on Smedebjergevej 51, Vils for easy access to the race venue.
For half marathon and full marathon runners, please adhere to the Club 100 rules. This means no stopping your GPS watch during the run; instead, record your finishing time manually at the depot station before submitting it on the list there.
