About the Event

The Pinery Fall Classic 2026 is an annual run/walk that has become a beloved community tradition, offering both fun and serious competition for runners of all abilities. This year's event continues to support The Friends of Pinery Park, dedicating its efforts to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of this cherished local park.
Participants can look forward to accurate chip timing and clear distance markers designed to cater to both casual walkers and dedicated racers alike. With easy online registration available well in advance, runners can secure their spot without delay. For those who prefer last-minute planning, same-day registration will also be an option at a small additional fee of $10.
The event promises a rewarding experience with the promise of receiving a commemorative t-shirt upon completion—though orders must be placed prior to race day for guaranteed delivery. The Pinery Fall Classic is more than just a run; it's part of a broader mission to educate and engage the community in environmental stewardship, supporting initiatives such as habitat preservation projects, citizen science research, and nature conservation efforts.
As runners traverse through picturesque trails and scenic paths within Pinery Park, they will enjoy breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere that perfectly complements their journey. Whether you're looking for a casual stroll or an intense race day challenge, the Fall Classic has something to offer every participant.
