Place Fell 15

Experience the scenic beauty of Ullswater on July 18, 2027, with the Place Fell Trail Race. This 15k course winds around the base of Place Fell, offering stunning views of the lake and surrounding valleys. Starting from King George Playing Field after other races have departed, runners are treated to panoramic vistas throughout their journey.
The route begins on open fields before transitioning into mildly technical trails, with a brief road section leading to the first checkpoint. From there, participants circumnavigate Place Fell in an anti-clockwise direction, passing through Silver Crag and descending via steep steps down to Silver Bay. Continuing along the lakeshore, runners reach CP2 at the Feed & Water Station before heading into Boredale.
The trail then ascends sharply towards Boredale Hause (CP4), where awe-inspiring views of Kirkstone Pass await. The descent from Boredale Hause is fast and semi-technical, leading back to CP1 now as checkpoint five, with the finish line at the event center in sight.
