Welcome to the 11th edition of Posbanktrail, organized by CAIRN Trails and Adventures. This year's race takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, offering runners and walkers an unforgettable trail experience amidst the serene forests near Velp. The event starts and finishes at Scouting Markesteen, located in Bovenallee 3, 6881 AJ Velp. Participants will enjoy a cozy atmosphere before setting off on one of several challenging routes through diverse terrain. For those signing up for this exciting adventure, CAIRN Trails & Adventures provides an inclusive package that includes: - A unique and sturdy medal commemorating your achievement in the 2026 edition. - Professional photography to capture your race day memories. - An Ipico time registration start number ensuring accurate timing. - Clearly marked routes across all distances. - Well-stocked nutrition stations along the way. The trail experience is designed for true enthusiasts, featuring an adventurous course with a mix of single-track paths and steep climbs. The 15 km route begins at 08:30 AM, followed by the shorter 7 km option starting at 08:40 AM. Walkers have their own start times beginning at 08:50 AM. For younger participants, there are Kids Trails tailored for different age groups: - The "Stoere" Kids Trail for children aged 3 to 6 years runs about 600 meters and starts at 10:45 AM. - For kids aged 7 to 12 years, the trail covers approximately 1.2 kilometers and also begins at 10:45 AM. The main event, the Posbank Herfst Trail, offers three distances: - The longest route of 24 km starts at 11:15 AM. - A mid-length option of 15 km kicks off at 11:30 AM. - And a shorter run of 7 km begins at 11:45 AM. Participants can look forward to refreshing Alkoholfreie Weizen beer upon crossing the finish line. The event is committed to sustainability, with no plastic cups used on hydration stations; instead, eco-friendly reusable cups are encouraged and available for purchase if needed.
