Join us for an exhilarating evening run through Stoke Park on Thursday, July 16th, 2026. Registration begins at 6pm with race numbers and timing chips issued from Countess Walk near the green area of Stapleton, Bristol (BS16 1EU). A detailed briefing will follow at 7pm before the start time of 7:15pm. The course is a challenging 10km route that winds through Stoke Park. It features some steep climbs and tricky terrain with tree roots and rocks to navigate, making it essential for runners to wear appropriate footwear and stay alert throughout the race. The route has been slightly altered from previous years; participants are encouraged to download the GPX file available on Outdooractive.com to scout out the course ahead of time. Race day will see numerous marshals cheering you along every step of the way, ensuring a supportive atmosphere despite the demanding nature of the terrain. With temperatures expected to be warm during evening hours, runners should consider bringing their own water supply for hydration throughout the race. This year’s event offers updated category classifications in line with England Athletics guidelines: an Open Male category that includes both male and non-binary entrants alongside a Female category which excludes transgender women without approval from England Athletics. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers across various age categories, including V40, V50, V60, and V70+, for both the Open and Female divisions. Transport-wise, we strongly encourage using public transport or carpooling with fellow runners to minimize environmental impact and reduce disruption in local neighborhoods. Parking is available at Snuff Mills Car Park (BS16 1DL), approximately a 10-15 minute walk from race HQ. For those relying on buses, routes number 46 and 50 provide convenient access. Please adhere strictly to our event rules: avoid using earbuds or headphones during the run as it compromises safety; do not shortcut the course knowingly; follow eligibility guidelines for gender categories carefully; notify us of any pregnancy for full refunds; guide runners are welcome but must register separately at no cost. Lastly, remember that those meeting criteria in multiple prize-winning categories will receive only one award. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to challenge yourself against a backdrop of stunning Bristol scenery while contributing positively towards community and environmental well-being. See you there!
