Queen Elizabeth Country Park Trail Run 2027

About the Event

Nestled within Queen Elizabeth Country Park on the South Downs—an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty—the trail run promises an unforgettable experience for runners. Situated south of Petersfield, Hampshire along the A3 route, this scenic course offers diverse trails and captivating views.
The event kicks off inside QECP, where participants can enjoy well-maintained paths through rolling hills before venturing into historic woodlands known locally as ‘Head Down’. Runners will pass by the iconic South Downs Way, one of England's most celebrated long-distance footpaths. After circling back via the famed ‘Milky Way’ route, they return to QECP.
Inside Queen Elizabeth Country Park again, runners explore War Down’s sturdy trails—gravel paths protected from harsh weather conditions and lined with trees providing shade on sunny days. The varied terrain challenges both newbies seeking a relaxed pace and veterans craving more demanding runs through Hampshire's picturesque landscapes.
Choose among three distinct route lengths to suit your running level while taking in the park's beauty along each kilometer covered. Upon crossing the finish line, participants receive complimentary refreshments, unique mementos for completing their race, and an exclusive medal marking this achievement.
More than just a competition day or fitness test, it provides a chance for individuals of all skill levels to engage with nature while pushing themselves physically within one England’s most spectacular natural settings. This event is about more than running—it's immersing yourself in breathtaking scenery as you explore the intricate network of paths that make up this trail run.
Whether you're setting out on your first adventure or have years under your belt, prepare to be wowed by stunning vistas and invigorating routes set against a backdrop rich with history. The combination of natural splendor and challenging terrain ensures an enriching experience for every runner looking to connect deeper with the outdoors in one of Hampshire’s most awe-inspiring locations.
This trail run invites you to lose yourself amidst nature, feel the rhythm of your steps underfoot as they traverse varied terrains stretching through ancient woodlands and along picturesque hills. Engage all senses while pushing personal boundaries within this idyllic landscape that has captivated visitors for generations.
