About the Event

This mountain bike hill climb starts 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 5 at the west gate of the Axilixi scenic area, Hezhang County, Bijie, Guizhou, capped at 200 riders. Racing from the West Gate Arch to the small train station -- an 8.7K climb of 565m (25m descent) -- runs 9:00 to an 11:00 AM cutoff, split into men's and women's categories. Registration is first-come, first-served.
September brings Axilixi's 100,000-mu chive-flower fields into full bloom, the mountain's scale and the flowers' color drawing riders up the steep 8.7K course to crown the day's "King of the Climb."
