About the Event

Welcome to the 2026 Rådalunken race, set against the backdrop of Lidköping’s picturesque Rådaskogen forest. The event offers runners three distinct distances: a short and swift 2km dash starting at 10:00 AM; an intermediate 16.7km course for those looking to challenge themselves further, beginning at 10:30 AM; and a family-friendly 5.8km route that kicks off at the same time as all categories at 10:40 AM.
Registration is available online through RaceID until September 9th, with late registrations accepted up to one hour before race start on event day for an additional fee. Participants can collect their bib numbers during a special pickup session from 10:00-12:00 on Saturday, September 12th at Rådåsgården in Lidköping or right after the early morning registration opens at 7:30 AM.
The race day unfolds with breathtaking scenery as runners navigate pristine forest trails within Rådaskogen. For young participants, a special Papricaloppet event is organized on September 12th for children to enjoy their own racing experience.
Competitors in the Västsvenska Löparcupen will find that different age categories align with various race distances: up to K55/M55 compete over 16.7km, while those aged between K60-65 and M60-65 run a more manageable 11.4km distance; for athletes in the K70/M70 category and above, the 5.8km route is perfect.
Throughout the race, runners will be treated to refreshing sports drinks provided by Umara, ensuring everyone stays hydrated as they make their way through this scenic course.
The event promises an engaging day out with family-friendly activities alongside competitive racing opportunities for all levels of athletes. Whether you're a seasoned runner or new to the sport, Rådalunken offers something special for every participant in its lush forest setting and welcoming atmosphere.
