The Randers City Stafet returns on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, as part of the vibrant Randers Festuge celebrations. This beloved tradition is more than just a race; it's an evening filled with high spirits and entertainment for both participants and spectators alike.
Organizers respect the rich history behind this event while adding fresh ideas each year to keep things exciting. The 3.3-kilometer loop around central Randers offers scenic views of the city, making every lap feel like a refreshing journey through familiar streets.
Teams can choose from several categories: Børne Stafet for children up to age 14 with five laps; mixed-gender adult teams (Dame and Herre) also complete five laps each. For those who prefer solo efforts, there's an option to walk the course on your own. The event celebrates camaraderie as much as competition, rewarding not only top finishers but also the best teamwork.
Participants can enjoy post-race dining with tapas from Deli'en Østervold, available for pre-order until August 9th or indulge in grilled sausages and drinks at the on-site tent. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, encouraging everyone to stay and socialize after their run.
Entry fees are discounted by 20% if registered before April 30, with prices ranging from DKK 85 for solo walkers to DKK 600 for adult teams. Børne Stafet entries cost DKK 400 per team, ensuring all participants have a memorable experience.
