Join us at Rold Forest Race, an exciting summer event that promises to blend nature’s beauty with the joy of physical activity. Scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, 2026, this race welcomes teams of four participants looking forward to a day filled with motion and camaraderie in one of Denmark's most enchanting settings.
Rold Forest Race offers two distinct routes: a scenic 5 km run through the lush greenery surrounding Skørping Sports Center and a leisurely 4 km walk. Both options wind their way through dense forests, past serene lakes, and along gentle hills, offering participants an immersive experience in nature’s splendor.
The event starts at the sports fields behind Skørping School on Himmerlandsvej 65, where teams will convene to begin their adventure. The run route has been carefully reconfigured this year to avoid congestion at the start line and features a broad path through the forest before narrowing into single-track trails as it approaches the finish.
Participants can expect breathtaking views of nature’s finest elements throughout both routes, with ample opportunity for awe-inspiring moments along each step or stride. The terrain includes sections lined with tree roots that may require careful footing; however, the overall experience is designed to be challenging yet enjoyable.
Team registration costs 840 DKK plus a per-person fee, and must include all four members of your team even if fewer attend on race day. Early arrival at Skørping Sports Center is encouraged for optimal enjoyment before and after the event.
Following the run or walk, participants will enjoy refreshments provided by local vendors in a cozy tented area near the finish line. This includes light snacks, drinks, and an optional purchase of additional beverage tickets.
The day concludes with awards presented to the top three teams on both running and walking routes based on cumulative time performance. Prizes include commemorative cups for each winning team, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
