Returning for its 26th edition on October 18, 2026, the Veneux-les-Sablons cycling club presents their traditional mountain bike ride through the Fontainebleau forest. This family-friendly event offers four distinct routes to cater to all levels of cyclists and enthusiasts.
The Circuit Familial spans an easy-going 18 kilometers with a total elevation gain of 123 meters, making it suitable for riders as young as seven years old. Participants can look forward to scenic views within the forest while enjoying a gentle ride that is open from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM.
For those seeking more adventure and exploration, the Circuit Découverte extends over 36 kilometers with an elevation gain of 348 meters. This moderate-length route caters to occasional riders aged thirteen or older and includes a single rest stop within the forest. The event allows for registrations between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM.
The Circuit Sportif, designed for seasoned athletes familiar with physical exertion, covers an additional loop on top of the Découverte route to total 48 kilometers. With two checkpoints along its challenging path through the forest terrain, this circuit is recommended for riders aged sixteen or older and features a cumulative elevation gain of 504 meters. Registrations are accepted from 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM.
The most advanced route is the Circuit Expert at an impressive distance of 56 kilometers with two checkpoints and an overall climb of 556 meters, catering to trained mountain bikers aged eighteen or older who possess exceptional physical fitness. This rigorous course begins its registration period from 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM.
All participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt and bike frame plaque as part of the event's offerings for the first four hundred registrants. Upon completion, riders can indulge in refreshments provided at the finish line to celebrate their achievements. Additionally, all courses are open to gravel bikes, expanding accessibility and enjoyment beyond traditional mountain biking.
