Ranney Run 5K & Virtual 5K - 10th Annual

The Ranney Run 5K, set for Saturday, September 19, 2026, is more than just a race; it's an annual tribute to the memories of Mark and Bonnie Ranney, along with Mary Ensign. Established in 2016 following their tragic loss, this event has since become a cornerstone of community support in Rolla.
Participants have two options: join the physical run at Veteran’s Memorial Park or participate virtually from anywhere around the globe. The registration fee is $30 and includes a commemorative t-shirt for those who sign up by August 18th. In-person runners will also benefit from chip timing, while virtual participants can receive their race packets after the event.
The day promises to be filled with not only competitive racing but also family-friendly activities such as a Puppy Parade and Dog Show starting at 9:45 am and 10 am respectively, offering fun for all ages. A silent auction will run throughout the morning until its conclusion at noon, providing an additional way to support local causes.
Race day registration opens early in the morning from 7:00 am to 7:45 am with the race itself kicking off promptly at 8:00 am. The awards ceremony follows right after the race ends around 9:30 am, celebrating top finishers and highlighting achievements across various age groups.
Virtual participants aren't left out of the fun either; they have a chance to win special categories like "Funniest Running Selfie," "Most Creative Mode of Transportation," and recognition for being the furthest participant from Rolla. Entries can be submitted through social media channels using @RanneyRun on Facebook and Instagram.
Early packet pick-up is available at The Centre in Rolla, MO on Friday, September 18th between 3 pm - 6 pm for those who prefer to avoid race day crowds.
