Race morning in Bermagui promises an atmosphere filled with excitement and camaraderie as runners gather at Dickinson Park before setting off on their chosen course. The park provides a serene starting point surrounded by lush greenery and the sound of the nearby Conway River. Participants will be greeted with stunning coastal views, from Camel Rock to Murunna Point.
ReBoot in Bermagui has been running since 2014, making it one of the most established events in the region. This year marks its third consecutive run, drawing over 350 participants who come together not only for a competitive challenge but also to support local charities and scholarships. The event is deeply rooted in the Bermagui community, offering something for everyone from serious runners to families looking to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The Half Marathon Trail Run will traverse the scenic Old Tilba Road, weaving through coastal bush tracks before heading towards Murunna Point. A loop run that includes 600 metres of beach running and walking trails, this course is a must-do for adventurous trail runners. The 10km Fun Run follows a hard-surfaced route from Dickinson Park to the harbour entrance rock wall, back through wetlands to Haywards Beach. Meanwhile, the 5km No Hills Fun Run / Walk offers a scenic, level route perfect for groups or families.
The 1.5km Kids Fun Run will start and end at Dickinson Park, heading out on the bike/walking track to Fishermans Wharf access road before returning. All participants in this event receive a finishers medal, adding to the fun of what is sure to be an enjoyable morning for all ages.
