Relay Wild Triathlon

The Relay Wild Triathlon, organized by Perth Triathlon Club, marks its return to Strathearn Campus in Crieff as one of the premier team relay events in Scotland. Since its inception in 2013, this race has gained recognition for its unique format and competitive spirit, even featuring at high-profile competitions like the Commonwealth Games.
This year's event welcomes up to 50 teams, each consisting of four participants who will take turns completing a short course that includes swimming, cycling, and running. Teams are divided into three categories: Open (all male or female), Female (four females per team), and Mixed (two males and two females in the specified order). With only 200 spots available, this event is sure to attract both local enthusiasts and out-of-town competitors eager for a challenge.
Each participant will swim 160 meters in the pool at Strathearn Campus before transitioning to their cycling gear. The cycle leg covers a scenic route of 10 kilometers around Crieff's outskirts, providing riders with an exhilarating experience through picturesque landscapes. Finally, racers complete a one-kilometer run along the perimeter of the school grounds.
Given the compact nature and quick transitions involved in this race format, it’s ideal for spectators to cheer on their favorite teams from start to finish. The event is designed not only as a competitive challenge but also as an engaging day out with family-friendly activities included.
Before the main competition begins at noon, kids have the chance to participate in a free fun run starting at 11:00 am. Parents and guardians are encouraged to join their young ones for this spirited pre-event activity. Additionally, clubs can set up gazebos on the grassy grounds adjacent to the school during registration.
To ensure fair competition, all participants will be chip-timed by Eventful Management, a trusted event management company known for its precision timing systems. Technical officials and British Triathlon rules will govern race day operations, ensuring that every team has an equal opportunity to showcase their skills.
With prizes awarded to top finishers in each category as well as special recognition given for the most accurate swim time estimate by teams' 'A' participants, there’s plenty of excitement on offer. The Relay Wild Triathlon promises a memorable and dynamic experience for all involved, blending athletic competition with community spirit.
