Resolution Run 5K 2027

Start the year off right with the Annual Florida Striders Resolution Run, featuring both a 5K and a one-mile fun run for kids. This edition marks a change of venue as the race moves to Orange Park Town Hall Park due to recent property changes at its traditional site.
On January 9th, runners will gather on Stowe Avenue in Orange Park Town Hall Park to begin their journey along scenic routes near the beautiful St. Johns River. The event promises cool winter weather and an enjoyable run for all participants. Registration opens online now through First Place Sports stores until noon on Thursday, January 7th, with day-of registration available starting at 6:15 AM.
The race kicks off at 8:30 AM sharp, so arrive early to line up by 8:15 AM. Competitive runners should aim for the front of the pack while walkers are encouraged to start near the back. The route is well-coordinated with support from Clay County Emergency Amateur Radio Teams and local law enforcement.
Participants will enjoy water stations along the course and refreshments at the finish line area, making it a comfortable experience throughout their run. Finisher medals are awarded to the first 650 runners who cross the line, adding an extra layer of excitement for those aiming to secure one of these coveted prizes.
For families looking to join in on the fun, there's also a free kids' mile race at 9:30 AM right after the main event. This provides young athletes with their own special opportunity to celebrate fitness and new year resolutions.
Registration is encouraged early online or through First Place Sports stores for guaranteed t-shirts and discounted rates. On-site registration will still be available but comes with a higher price tag starting from race day morning until 8:15 AM.
Don't miss out on the chance to join Florida Striders in this exciting New Year's tradition, supporting local schools and community fitness initiatives while enjoying a scenic run along the St. Johns River.
