Rip n Run XL

About the Event

As race season winds down, runners seeking an exhilarating challenge can turn their attention to the 40-mile adventure from Wadsworth. Ideal for those who have conquered the 50k distance and are looking to push themselves further, this grueling course features a staggering elevation gain of 5,800 feet.
The race kicks off at 7am, allowing participants to make their way up Pike by sunrise if they time it right. This early start offers runners the opportunity for some breathtaking photo opportunities as they traverse through scenic landscapes under the morning light.
Along the route, four checkpoints provide essential support and nourishment. The first two are outdoors, offering panoramic views of the terrain you're conquering. However, should the weather turn against you, the second pair of checkpoints offer indoor shelter with proper toilet facilities to ensure comfort during rest stops.
For those who have already tackled 100k distances and are eyeing a full 100-mile event in their future, this race offers an excellent stepping stone. By completing two back-to-back 40-mile races within the span of 28 hours, you'll get to experience both sunrise and sunset during your journey.
Race headquarters acts as a checkpoint midway through each leg, providing hot soup and additional support. At the finish line, runners are greeted with hearty meals that reward their efforts after covering over 80 miles in total distance.
It's important for participants to note that entries cannot be made on race day or once registration closes; however, those who miss out will have a chance to join via a waitlist if spots become available. Additionally, the option to purchase XCover is provided, offering runners peace of mind with potential refunds due to unforeseen circumstances.
This event promises an unforgettable experience for endurance enthusiasts eager to test their limits and enjoy the beauty of Wadsworth's challenging terrain.
Join us as you push your boundaries in this epic race.
