ROGUE//13 returns to Spokane, Washington on July 18th, offering endurance enthusiasts a unique challenge across multiple areas in the city. Participants will navigate through Reardan Cross Country track and Riverside State Park, culminating at Mt Spokane State Park for an intense test of holistic strength.
The event takes place against the backdrop of vibrant summer in Spokane, with the trails around Mount Spokane State Park providing a serene yet rugged setting. The air is filled with the scent of pine and earth as runners traverse through lush forests and open meadows. This atmosphere fosters a sense of camaraderie among participants who are united by their shared passion for pushing limits within nature’s beauty.
ROGUE//13, part of Phase One Missions, has been an annual tradition since its inception, inviting both novice athletes and seasoned veterans to participate in this endurance challenge. Each year sees hundreds of runners gathering to complete as many “passes” as possible on the Quartz Mountain Lookout Trail. Completing eleven passes earns participants a coveted custom Phase One Buckle. This event is not just about achieving personal bests but also fostering resilience, hope, and community support.
The course for ROGUE//13 winds through scenic trails around Mt Spokane State Park, with each "pass" being an out-and-back route along the Quartz Mountain Lookout Trail spanning 4.5 miles. Aid stations are strategically placed to provide essential hydration and nutrition, including Endurance Fuel by Tailwind Nutrition and NeverSecond carb gels.
Participants should expect moderate temperatures during their run or ruck, with average highs around 23.8°C (75°F). The dry trails will be firm underfoot but may become challenging as the day progresses due to humidity levels averaging at 32%. With a UV index of Moderate and nearly fifteen hours of sunshine predicted for race day, it’s important to stay hydrated and protect your skin from sun exposure.

Packet pick-up is available on Friday, July 17th from 5 PM to 7 PM at Fleet Feet @ Kendall Yards or Saturday morning starting at 6:30 AM right by the race location in Mt Spokane State Park.
For first-timers, make sure you bring your go-to run gear that will last up to 13 hours. The start location is Selkirk Lodge within Mount Spokane State Park where a pre-race brief begins promptly at 7:15 AM on July 18th. Please note, everyone must have a Discover Pass for entry into the state park.
