Ross on Wye 10k Riverbank Run 5k & Fun Run 2026

On Sunday, September 6th, 2026, the Ross Riverbank Festival of Running invites runners to experience the scenic beauty and charm of Ross-on-Wye along the banks of the River Wye. This beloved event features a flat course that winds through picturesque landscapes, offering participants stunning views as they race.
The festival offers three distinct races: a 10K, a 5K, and a fun run for younger participants. All distances are chip-timed except for the Fun Run, ensuring accurate results for all competitors. The event starts at the Rowing Club in Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7DF.
### Race Details
- Fun Run: Open to under 11-year-olds accompanied by an adult. This approximately half-mile run is a great introduction to racing and costs £4 per person.
- 5K: Limited to 300 participants with a minimum age of 11 on race day, this event offers chip timing and entry fees ranging from £17 for affiliated runners to £19 for unattached competitors. Sign up online via Entry Central.
- 10K: Also limited to 300 participants but requires a minimum age of 15 at the time of the race. Similar to the 5K, it features chip timing and entry fees starting from £22 for affiliated runners and £24 for unattached competitors.
### Canicross
Canicross enthusiasts can join in both the 5K and 10K events, but they must start 15 minutes after their human counterparts. Participants are required to wear a canicross harness during the race and inform organizers at bib collection.
### Course Information
The multi-terrain course includes sections of grass and muddy trails along the riverbank path. Runners should expect varied terrain that challenges both endurance and agility, making it an exciting experience for all levels of runners.
### Event Day Logistics
Participants can park near the Rowing Club or in town nearby; marshals will direct traffic to ensure a smooth start time. No bag drop is provided, so please plan accordingly with your belongings left at your own risk. First aid and medical support are available throughout the event.
Water stations along both 5K and 10K routes provide hydration during the race, while water and refreshments await runners at the finish line. All participants will receive a finisher's medal upon completion of their respective races.
### Prizes
Medals and prizes for top male and female finishers in each category (5K and 10K) are awarded shortly after the event concludes. Age-category awards, team prizes, and canicross medals add an extra layer of excitement to the competition.
