Welcome to Run the Trails Gower, the inaugural race of the 2026 RTT Series. This trail running event invites both seasoned runners and newcomers alike to explore the breathtaking beauty of the Gower Peninsula through its diverse terrain. The day kicks off at 7:30 AM with registration opening for participants eager to tackle the challenging courses ahead. The Half Marathon, a self-navigated adventure, begins promptly at 9:00 AM after an informative race briefing starting from 8:50 AM. For those opting for shorter distances, the 10K and 5K races commence shortly thereafter, with briefings scheduled between 9:25 AM and 9:40 AM respectively. The Half Marathon route is designed to test your navigation skills as you make your way through a series of checkpoints along rugged paths and scenic coastlines. The shorter distances offer marked trails that still provide an immersive trail running experience, complete with stunning coastal views and woodland pathways. Participants will traverse varied terrains including sandy dunes, lush woodlands, and dramatic cliffs. Each course is crafted to highlight the unique landscapes of Gower while providing a rewarding challenge for all runners. Race day amenities include chip timing, water stations at key intervals, and finisher medals for every participant who completes their chosen distance. The event concludes around midday with an award ceremony celebrating the achievements of those who have earned points in this first leg of the RTT Series standings. Join us on Gower to kick off your trail running season amidst some of Britain's most captivating natural scenery.
