Embrace the rugged beauty of Gower Peninsula at Run the Trails Gower, the second installment of the 2026 RTT Series. This trail running event offers three distinct courses that cater to both newcomers and seasoned runners: a challenging self-navigated Half Marathon, as well as marked 10km and 5km routes. The Half Marathon course presents an intricate challenge with its fully self-navigated route, complete with checkpoints along the way, while the shorter distances are clearly signposted for ease of navigation. Participants can expect to traverse a diverse landscape that includes breathtaking coastal paths, lush woodland trails, and challenging sand dunes. Each terrain offers unique challenges and rewards runners with stunning views of Gower's iconic scenery. The event day begins early in the morning at 07:30 when registration opens for all participants. Half Marathon competitors should be prepared to attend a race briefing at 08:50, followed by the start time at 09:00. For those opting for the shorter distances, registration remains open until 09:15, with briefings and starts scheduled shortly thereafter. Throughout the event, runners will benefit from water stations and checkpoints strategically placed along all routes to ensure hydration and safety. Upon completion of their run, participants receive a finisher's medal commemorating their achievement. The day concludes at noon when an award ceremony celebrates the top performers across each category. Runners are reminded that this is a complex trail event where it’s essential for them to familiarize themselves with the course beforehand. With its combination of natural beauty and technical challenges, Run the Trails Gower promises an unforgettable experience in one of Britain's most picturesque regions. Participants can look forward to an engaging day filled with scenic routes and rewarding challenges that highlight the diverse landscapes of the Gower Peninsula.
