Immerse yourself in the dynamic world of CIRCUIT RUNNING for their Rumble In The Jumble IV, an exhilarating 6-hour timed challenge. This unique event offers participants the flexibility to run anything from a short 5k up to ultra marathon distances within the allotted time frame. Registration opens at 8:10am and the race kicks off promptly at 8:50am. The course is meticulously designed for versatility, with each lap covering approximately 4.37 miles. A notable feature of this event is its strategic turn points; a 5k mark serves as an early checkpoint while two laps complete a full 10k distance. For those aiming higher, three laps will get you to the half marathon milestone, six laps for a traditional marathon, and seven or more laps can take your run into ultra territory. Aid stations are conveniently placed at the end of each lap, providing runners with essential hydration options such as water, squash, fizzy drinks, and an array of snacks. This ensures that participants have ample opportunity to refuel and hydrate throughout their journey. The course itself is predominantly a tarmac path following an old railway line, offering scenic views along its route. A brief stretch ventures onto trail terrain, adding a touch of variety for runners. The out-and-back format requires no navigation skills, allowing you to focus solely on your pace and endurance. Participants will find toilet facilities at a nearby leisure center, ensuring comfort during longer runs. Parking is available in designated bays along Preston Road near Poorhouse Lane; please park responsibly as local business car parks have restrictions. Upon crossing the finish line, runners are rewarded with a bespoke medal to commemorate their achievement, alongside a generous 5-piece goody bag filled with treats for your efforts.
