Competitors can choose from a variety of distances tailored to all levels of fitness and endurance: a 10k, a half marathon, a challenging 10-mile course, or a shorter family-friendly fun run. In response to runner feedback, organizers have revised routes for 2022, with the 10k route now being notably more manageable while still providing scenic vistas of Bolton Abbey.
The event begins in waves shortly after 9am, allowing runners to enjoy the peaceful surroundings before setting off on their chosen course. To honor Remembrance Day, there will be a one-minute silence observed at the start/finish line area at precisely 11am.
